Coming 21 October 2017, Downtown Line 3 (DTL3) will be open to the public. With the opening of this stretch, DTL3 is Singapore longest underground and driverless MRT line in Singapore. When completion, this 42km long Downtown Line will ease commuters traveling from North-West to the East of Singapore.DTL3 comprises of 16 stations, and its the longest stretch of Downtown Line to be opened. DTL3 contains 3 interchanges: MacPherson (to Circle Line), Tampines (East-West Line) and Expo (East-West Line Extension). DT20 – Fort Canning Station

Located at the intersection of River Valley Road and Clemenceau Avenue, has 2 entrances to serve places like Liang Court, Clarke Quay, Fort Canning Park, UE Square and Park Hotel Clarke Quay. It’s also a stone throw away from cafes like The Fabolous Baker Boy.

DT21 – Bencoolen Station

It is the deepest MRT station ever built, located at Bencoolen Street, near the junction of Bras Basah Road. It has 6 levels, with 3 entrances. Bencoolen Station has an underground unpaid linkway connected to CCL Bras Basah Station through existing SMU basement. This station serves NAFA, SMU, Manulife Centre, Sunshine Plaza and National Museum, Rendezvous Hotel, V Hotel and more. It’s near to cafes and eateries in the vicinity like Strictly Pancakes, Hang Out Cafe, Curious Palette and many more.

DT22 – Jalan Besar Station

Located at the junction of Jalan Besar and Weld Road, this station has 2 entrances. With this station, commuters can get to Sim Lim Tower and its vicinity easier. Jalan Besar Station is 5 minutes walk away from Rochor Station and Bugis Station.

DT23 – Bendeemer Station

This station is located at Kallang Bahru. The station has 2 entrances, one at each side of the road. Bendeemer Station is a stone throw away from Toyogo Warehouse and Aperia Mall, where you can enjoy 24 hours Tim Ho Wan.

DT24 – Geylang Bahru Station

Situated along Kallang Bahru, at the junction with Geylang Bahru. This station serves Kallang Basin ActiveSG Swimming Complex, Kallang Basin Industrial Estates, Automobile Association of Singapore (AA) and Jalan Besar Town Council.

DT25 – Matter Station

Mattar station is located near the junction of Merpati Road and Mattar Road. This station will mainly serve Circuit Road Hawker Centre, MacPherson Community Club, Canossa Convent School and Masjid Sallim Matter Mosque.

DT26 – MacPherson Station

Located at Circuit Link, near the junction of Circuit Road. Is an interchange with the Circle Line. It will serve Geylang Neighbourhood Police Centre.

DT27 – Ubi Station

Ubi station is located near the junction of Ubi Avenue 1 and Ubi Avenue 2. The station has two entrances which serve the nearby high-rise light industrial buildings and also supports a dense HDB estate with schools in its vicinity such as Maha Bodhi School and Manjusri Secondary School.

DT28 – Kaki Bukit Station

It is situated along Kaki Bukit Avenue 1, near the junction of Jalan Damai. It provides easier access to Kaki Bukit Tech Park, Kaki Bukit Tech View, Bedok North Secondary School and the HDB flats along Jalan Damai, Jalan Tenaga and Bedok Reservoir Road.

DT29 – Bedok North Station

Bedok North station is located at Bedok North Road, near PIE flyover. It serves Damai Primary School, Bedok Town Park.

DT30 – Bedok Reservoir Station

It’s located at Bedok Town Park, beside Bedok North Avenue 3. Primarily serves commuters heading to Bedok Reservoir Park, Damai Secondary School, Bedok Green Secondary School, Bedok Town Park, Red Swastika School and Fengshan Market & Food Centre (Bedok 85).

DT31 – Tampines West Station

It is situated at Tampines Avenue 4, near the junction with Tampines Avenue 1. This station will serve students studying in Temasek Polytechnic, Junyuan Secondary School and East View Primary School. Commuters can also alight here for Tampines SAFRA Clubhouse.

DT32 – Tampines Station

An interchange with East-West line, locating along Tampines Central 1. It is connected to Tampines Bus Interchange and Tampines Concourse Bus Interchange. It mainly serves the same places as East-West line, namely Tampines 1, Tampines Mall, Century Square, Tampines Regional Library, CPF Building, OCBC Tampines Centre One, AIA Building, Telepark, Our Tampines Hub. Along with Paya Lebar, Buona Vista and Expo MRT stations, it is one of the four that serves both above-ground and underground lines.

DT33 – Tampines East Station

Situated along Tampines Avenue 7, near to the junction with Tampines Avenue 2. This station serves Tampines Junior College, Ngee Ann Secondary School, Tampines North Park and walking distance to Tampines East Community Club and Tampines N2 Shopping Street.

DT34 – Upper Changi Station

This station is located at Upper Changi Road East. At 205m, this station is the longest on the DTL3. It serves Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD).

DT35 – Expo Station

Located along Changi South Avenue 1, is an interchange with East-West Extension Line. Serves Singapore Expo, Changi City Point, Capri by Fraser Changi City hotel, Changi Business Park and Park Avenue Changi.

Above are the MRT stations that will be opening on 21 October 2017. There will be free travel along DTL3 on 21 October and 22 October 2017.
