Finally got the time to show you where I’ve stayed in London in December last year.
It’s not my first time flying over to London, but after many times of staying affordable in small tiny rooms, I’ve decided to pamper myself and booked a better one. Searched the web and decided to try out a reasonably-new aparthotel in East London – Leman Locke.
Leman Locke is a combination of a boutique hotel and a stylish serviced apartment, that makes it an aparthotel (apartment + hotel). Leman Locke has 168 rooms consisting of 2 different room types: Studio & One-Bedroom Suite. Their room ranges from 30sqm to 39sqm, not as big as a resort or your house, but it’s definitely spacious and well-equipped for 2, you will know why in a while.
So firstly, I should really complement Leman Locke for situating at a very convenient location. It’s just a stone throw away from Aldgate East Tube Station, which runs the District Line and Hammersmith & City Line that can bring you easily to Tower Bridge, Westminster, and Paddington areas. A little more of walking will bring you to Aldgate Tube Station which runs the Circle Line.
This aparthotel is easier for me to use photos to depict how awesome it is, but before that, I was actually given a room on a high floor, 19th floor, which I was told was their Studio Sky Level room, which is bigger than the usual Studio rooms. Shall let the photo do the talking for a bit…
There’s also a paper bag of teas, coffees & chocolate placed in the Kitchen, there’s also a thick recipe book to inspire you to cook something delicious during your stay.
You see? Loving it? Leman Locke is really the best hotel I’ve stayed so far in London, and it isn’t very expensive too, I’ve paid S$850 for 5 nights. Every corner of the room is so Instagram-able, especially their signature L-shaped sofa, that even I also gave it a try! The staffs were helpful with check-in and any ad-hoc requests. The kitchen is fully equipped with the necessary stuff that you may need.
The Smart TV comes with Apple TV and is able to connect your Apple devices to it. For Android users, you also able to connect to the TV to mirror your screen to view your phone from the TV!
Wondering if is there any breakfast provided? It’s £15 (~S$27) per day if you decided to enjoy your breakfast in the hotel. The cafe is called Treves & Hyde, it is sort of a mix between cafe and bar that occupies the first 2 floors of the hotel.
Lastly, if you ask me would I come back here in the future? The answer is definitely gonna be a ‘Yes’. As there’s really no faults that I could find during my stay, even though it took the reception almost half a day to bring us new sets of towels, but that’s understandable for me as it was Christmas Day, and there isn’t much manpower in the hotel. And would I recommend Leman Locke to you? Yes, the answer is Yes!
Been to London recently too? Where is your favorite place to stay in London? Do share them with me!
